I am so happy I get to join your kids in the woods once again for school portraits this year!

What is Fine Art School Photography?
This style of photography captures the genuine expressions of children.  At Fiddleheads, I use your child's beautiful natural backdrop with natural light for their portraits. My time with each child is light hearted-I aim for them to be comfortable so I can photograph the essence of each child in their images.  We talk about animals and ice cream.  I don’t force a smile!

When will Anela Deisler Photography be at my school?
Thursday, April 24: Spruce T/Th, Trillium and Afternoon Enrichment
Friday, April 25 : Spruce MWF, Spruce Class, Magnolia

What should my child wear?
While avoiding logos and bright neon colors, I recommend sending your child in clothes that make them (and you!) happy. If they want to wear their gear (most do!) then that’s great!

Will you photograph siblings?
Yes! If you have two children at Fiddleheads at the same time I’ll photograph them together. If you'd like to bring a sibling for photos that does not attend Fiddleheads, please come at 8:30 before morning drop off or 1:30 for afternoon classes and wait with your kids for your turn. I aim to take 2-3 minutes with each child then a 2-3 minutes with the kids together. It’s quick but we get great photos and then the kids can get right to school. :)

How will I order?
About a month after our shoot, you'll receive an email with  a link right back here to this page where I'll add all the details and access to your gallery.  There will be 2-5 images of every child both in black and white and color. You will then be able to order prints, gallery wraps, and digital downloads.  The ordering process is simple and secure. The gallery will be live for just seven days so I can submit your selections and deliver them to your school for a quick turn around!  See pricing here.

What if I miss photo day?
Anela will be hosting a pop up photo day at her home in the front yard on Satuday, May 10 and on Thursday May 15. You can sign up here for a slot if you miss photo day at Fiddleheads, or if you have kids that don’t attend Fiddleheads that you’d like to get photographed. You can choose between the black backdrop or to stand in front of my large Cedar tree trunk - it’s not quite the forest but we can pretend.

Will my photos remain private?
You and your child's privacy is very important to me.  Your child's images will be organized on the private proofing website by class and you will receive a special password for your class.  If you would like your child’s individual album to have a private password, please let me know by emailing me at hello@aneladeisler.com by April 19.  When your gallery is ready, I'll link a privacy form to it so you can let me know if I can share your images.
