What is Fine Art School Photography?
This style of photography captures the genuine expressions of children. At Nature Kids, I use your child's beautiful natural backdrop with natural light for their portraits. My time with each child is light hearted-I aim for them to be comfortable so I can photograph the essence of each child in their images. We talk about animals and ice cream. I don’t force a smile!

What can I do to help my child get ready?
Talk to your child about photo day. What was photo day like when you were a kid? What will these pictures be for? What will happen at school on photo day? How do they feel about photo day? Here’s a little online flipbook I made to show what photo day will be like to share with you child.
What should my child wear?
While avoiding logos and bright neon colors, I recommend sending your child in clothes that make them (and you!) happy. If they want to wear their gear (most do!) then that’s great!
Will you photograph siblings?
Yes! If you have two children at Nature Kids at the same time I’ll photograph them together. If you'd like to bring a sibling for photos that does not attend Nature Kids, please come at 8:30 before morning drop off and wait with your kids for your turn. I aim to take 2-3 minutes with each child then a 2-3 minutes with the kids together. It’s quick but we get great photos and then the kids can get right to school. :)
How will I order?
About a month after photo day, you'll receive an email with a link right back here to this page where I'll add all the details and access to your gallery. There will be 2-5 images of every child both in black and white and color. You will then be able to order prints, gallery wraps, and digital downloads. Print and digital options will be available for 1 week then I’ll leave the gallery open for one more week with digital options still available. See pricing here.
What if I miss photo day?
I am hosting a pop up photo day at my home in my open garage studio on Saturday, May 23. You can sign up here for a slot if you miss photo day at Nature Kids, or if you have kids that don’t attend Nature Kids that you’d like to get photographed. You can choose between the black backdrop or to stand in front of my large cedar tree trunk - it’s not quite the forest but we can pretend.
Will my photos remain private?
You and your child's privacy is very important to me. Your child's images will be organized on the private proofing website by class and you will receive a special password for your school. If you would like your child’s individual album to have a private password, please let me know by emailing me at hello@aneladeisler.com by May 6. When your gallery is ready, I'll link a privacy form to it so you can let me know if I can share your images.
