I am honored to have the opportunity to come back to the NW Montessori Schools again this year to photograph this beautiful community! I love getting to photograph the kids here every year. It’s my hope to give you images of your child(ren) that honor their unique beauty and amazing childhood.

What is Fine Art School Photography?
This style of photography captures the genuine expressions of children. I use a simple black background and natural light. My time with each child is light hearted - I aim for them to be comfortable so the Photo Day is a good experience for them! We talk about animals and ice cream. I don’t force a smile!

When will Anela Deisler Photography be at my school?
• West Seattle: October 12
• Wedgwood: October 20
• Woodland Park: October 13 - (elementary and younger siblings), Oct. 19 - (primary)

Are siblings welcome?
I’d love to photograph siblings who both attend NWM this year.

How can I prepare my child for Photo Day?
My favorite way to get my kids ready for something new or different is to tell the story of that event. I made a book you can use to help you do this. Here’s a Digital Link. Here’s a PDF. Reassure them that they’ll be safe and with adults from school that care about them every step of the way.

What should my child wear?
While avoiding logos and solid black shirts, I recommend sending your child in clothes that make them (and you!) happy. Bold colors photograph really beautifully with the black backdrop.

How will I order?
About a month after photo day, you'll receive an email with a link right back here to this page where I'll add all the details and access to your gallery.  There will be 2-5 images of every child both in black & white and color. You will then be able to order prints, gallery wraps, and digital downloads.  The ordering process is simple and secure. The gallery will be live for just seven days so I can submit your selections and deliver them to your school for a quick turn around!  See sample pricing here. Will my photos remain private?
You and your child's privacy is very important to me.  Your child's images will be organized on the private proofing website by class and you will receive a special password for your school.  If you would like your child’s individual album to have a private password, please let me know by emailing me at hello@aneladeisler.com by October 20.  When your gallery is ready, I'll link a privacy form to it so you can let me know if I can share your images.  

What if I miss photo day?
I’m sorry I won’t be visiting your school for a make-up day. However, I have studio time available just north of Seattle and you can sign up for a spot here. You can also consider signing up for my mail list where I’ll email when I will do pop up school photo days in this same style in the spring from my front yard studio set up in North Seattle.
