School Art Contest!
WHAT: A contest to create new art for the gallery covers for school photos!
WHO: Any kid ages 0-12
WHEN: Art is due July 31, 2026 and will be used in the 2026-27 school year and maybe longer!
WHY? Because school photos are for kids, so I want to celebrate their creativity!
PRIZE: The artist (child) will get a gift with art supplies in the mail from me! Their family will receive a free digital album next year (of school style photos). If I don’t photograph at your school, it’s no problem! I offer photos out of my garage “studio” every spring. All entries will get a thank you with a little surprise from me!
DETAILS:
Make art! Art must cover a full 8.5×11 (or similar) piece of paper. The only white space should be intentional. Abstract works best. Paint and paint sticks work really great but I’m up for anything! Yay creativity!
Send art. Email me a scan or photo of their art to hello@aneladeisler.com. Please include their name and age. I will only share their first names.
Vote for art. All submissions will be shared and celebrated on my website, instagram, newsletter, and of course on the galleries! Voting will take place on my instagram, on this page, and from my maillist.

Here’s the current art that I use at my non forest schools and was made many years ago at a preschool that I photograph at every year!
I’m always looking for input….
In this case, from your KIDS! I’m working on writing a course to teach photographers how to understand kids so they can create family photo sessions that feel more connected, more joyful, and more meaningful for everyone involved. If you’re willing to interview your kids either on paper, audio, or camera asking these 5 questions, please email me at hello@aneladeisler.com.
How do you feel about photo sessions? Why do you feel that way?
What do photographers do that help you feel comfortable?
What do adults get wrong about kids at photoshoots?
What helps you feel ready for photo day?
What’s your favorite way to look at photos of your family?
Please include their name, age, and your address as I’ll send a little thank you gift to any child who is willing to do an interview. The content will be used in my course, on my website, and in my marketing. Please feel free to email me with questions you may have.
Do you have input for me? I’d love to hear from you as well! I am intentional about the work I do to best serve kids, their families, and the schools I get to work with. I’m also a small business owner who does almost all of this solo so I’m able to really cater to my schools and also appreciate getting to do this work to support my family.
