Family Sessions

Every family is different so every single session is different which is exactly why I love getting to do this gig. I want to celebrate you and your people as yourselves, not some representation of what society, or your in-laws, or some instagram lame-o may hope for. I welcome all bodies, all hairstyles, all genders, all the tantrums, and especially, ALL THE LOVE.

~~~I love newborns! Typically, I photograph newborns before 3 weeks of age, but any age is great. I let baby’s needs lead the session, so if there’s a newborn involved, I might hang with ya’ll more like 1.5-2 hrs.

So what does a Full session include?

• In your ~60-90 minute session, we’ll hang out at one of your favorite places. It’ll be fun and relaxed. Every session is as different as the family. I’ll give some guidance during our time together but what you do and how your family shows love will motivate the images we get to create together. Dogs and grandparents are always welcome.

• New in 2023: I’ll photograph each child with one entire roll of black and white film. Here’s an example of what I did with my daughter. I’ll focus on their movement, their smile, their hands and the bandaid on their knee. They can help pick the location and maybe a prop (like their beloved blanket, or that random lego that’s only important this week).

• Location: somewhere important to your family (often at home!). During the pandemic I’m only doing outdoor sessions which is perfect on a front porch or at a park you love.

• What you get: 75+ images: some in color, some b&w, some film and some digital. I’ll also design a 8x10 lay flat album for you.

• 2023 Pricing: Pay $299 now and $599 later ($898 total, taxes not included)

Some details on Mini Sessions

I offer mini sessions a few times a year. These are perfect for a quick and easy 15 minute photo session. I set the location- often at Magnuson, Matthews Beach, or North City Studio. I also set the timing and make signing up quick and easy. I often sell out really fast with these so signing up for my mail list is the best way to be the first to grab a session if you want quick and easy photos this year. I include at least 15 images, always aiming for a few smile-for-grandma posed ones, a few of the kid(s), and then some fun moments of tickles or dancing. Mini sessions in 2023 will be $329+tax.

• $299 is required to reserve your date for full sessions, this is non refundable but can be transferred if needed based on my availability. All pricing will have Seattle taxes added on.

• Adoption Portfolio Sessions: I offer a discounted rate for these special sessions. Please contact me for details.

• Extended Family Sessions: I love these! Contact me for pricing + details. Typically it’s $125 more for each additional family which includes an extra album.

• I offer a $99 discount for single parent families, just let me know.

• Additional fees for travel or including more than your immediate family may be applicable.
