I’m coming to you! Between 8AM and 12PM on August 24 I’ll meet you and your people at your home. It’ll be quick (just 15 min) and so special to get photos in your own special place. Please check the map to see if I plan to drive in your area or not. Email me with any questions you have!

Once the spots are filled up, I’ll map my route and share my estimated timing with you. You need to live within 7 miles of 98125. You’ll get 15+ images in a digital gallery within a month of photo day. If we are rained out, the session and timing will be the same but on Sunday, September 7.

Thank you so very much for trusting me with your family photography, I just love this job and am so very grateful.

***Sessions are available for purchase through WEDNESDAY AUG 20 at noon so I can map out my route and send out timing details.

FAQs

What will the session be like?

Here’s a story, once there was a very sweet 2 year old who pooped in his diaper right at the start of the family’s 15 minute session. With his parents’ consent, we did the session anyway…and they have come back every year since. In conclusion, it’s short and fun enough to do with poop in your pants.

But really what will it be like?

I’ll ask your family to sit in one spot (if that’s comfortable), stand in another, and I’ll get some individual portraits of the kids and siblings if there’s more than one kiddo. If there’s time, well run and play a bit. If it’s a special session with some other activities we’ll discuss that in advance.

Is it important that I’m on time to my session?

Yes, it really is! I schedule my short sessions really tight so I can really make great use of my time with families. If you’re late, we’ll make the most of the time we have left or try to squeeze you in after a family who may be available. I promise to photograph you for 15 minutes in your arranged time, and it’s always worked out.

What should I tell the kids?

Tell them that Anela gets to photograph the family! I think it helps for them to know what the photos will be for, where you’ll put them up in your home, who you’ll send them to, etc. Try to make it a fun event, maybe with donuts or a rock throwing game after if you’re at a lake.

What should we wear?

Aim for happy people who are comfortable (and warm) and wearing what feels right while avoiding neon and big logos. In my sessions I care more about the people than the image, so don’t worry about a perfect flowy dress unless that’s your normal look anyway.

What if it rains?

Three cheers for Seattle! I sure hope we don’t have to, but if the weather calls for 40% or more chance of rain we’ll resort to our backup date that is listed above. (Not applicable for studio sessions).

Can I bring our pet? My mom?

More is more…it’s up to you. Grandparents and pets are so special and I welcome them, but 15 minutes does go by really quickly so you can decide. And I’m sorry but if you’re coming to the studio pets aren’t allowed there.

How many images will I get?

I promise 15 images but I’m pretty generous. I hate passing up sweet images of your people.

But Anela, do you want me to send you a card if that’s what we make with these photos!

Yes, really I do! :)

What if we get sick?

I’ve been so lucky in my 7 years of business to work with really kind people. We’ll work together to make a plan that’s be best we can do…maybe reschedule, maybe a refund, maybe some other creative solution.
